What are we doing?
To help us make the Sumner County School’s website a positive place for everyone, we've been using the . These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible for people with disabilities, and user friendly for everyone.
The guidelines have three levels of accessibility (A, AA and AAA). We’ve chosen Level AA as the target for the Sumner County School’s website.

SCS lottery for out-of-zone applications for LCHS, WHS, and WMS
Sumner County families may now apply to attend the following schools out-of-zone:

Liberty Creek High School Grade 9:

The application window will close on February 5th, 2023. If the number of applications exceeds the number of published spaces available, a lottery by a third-party vendor will randomly select the students. Students selected will be directly notified of the results by February 7th, 2023.

*A recent change in state law requires SCS to publish spots and allow out of zone requests, if there is capacity. Currently, the schools mentioned above are the only schools accepting out of zones. You must be a Sumner County resident to apply and will have to show proof of residency.
